Miller-Remick is providing professional design and construction administration services for the replacement of Boilers at the VAMC Altoona, PA. The facility design includes renovation and upgrade to the boiler plant steam generation systems and auxiliaries. This includes replacing the existing boilers, controls and auxiliary systems with new equipment and systems sized to provide the future steam generation needs. Major project elements include new firetube boilers, deaerator, condensate receiver, SCADA system, economizers, blowdown heat recovery, fuel oil pump system, boiler feedwater pumps, condensate pumps, and plant lighting upgrade.
