Miller-Remick, a full-service MEP engineering firm, is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and innovative individual for a Project Manager position that can demonstrate the successful delivery of multi-discipline design packages on capital projects ranging from $5M to $100 M. In addition to the basic qualifications listed, the successful candidate shall possess the skills required to successfully develop and execute project tasks and deliverables, be a collaborative team player, handle multiple complex tasks, establish and manage priorities, and have a strong drive to deliver a quality project for customers.
Our clients include federal agencies (Dept. of Veteran Affairs, Dept. of Defense, GSA, Federal Bureau of Prisons, state, and local governments). Projects have varied degrees of complexity and a wide range of estimated construction costs and include hospitals and healthcare, military bases, federal buildings and courthouses, state and local government buildings, research laboratories, central steam and chilled water plants, corrections facilities and site utility infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Project management functions including scope responsibilities, client management, scheduling, and financials.
- Lead and manage projects from planning through design and construction.
- Lead project team meetings and report to executive management regarding status.
- Complete internal peer reviews and provide input in multi-discipline page turns, across all offices, to assist in the development of a comprehensive design.
- Perform page turns prior to all major project deliverables.
- Work closely with subconsultants and department design managers.
- Assist in developing client capture plans and pursuit win plans, proposals, and other business development and client engagement activities.
- Develop and enhance client relationships, serve as the primary company contact, and deliver quality projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client.
- Administer relevant aspects of a formal quality program.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Engineering is required.
- A PE license is preferred but not a requirement.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing design projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform project management responsibilities, working independently and in coordination with other team members and Project Managers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple clients at varying stages of design/construction completion.
- Traveling as required to client sites.
We are looking for a talented engineer with the ability to develop mechanical drawings and specifications. The successful candidate must have design knowledge of engineering and construction of HVAC, boilers, chillers, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, BIM, renewable energy and energy conservation. Must have previous experience with engineering investigations/assessments of facilities, designing of building mechanical systems, economic analysis of alternate HVAC systems, specifications, codes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering
- PE License preferred.
- Minimum of 5 – 10 years’ experience
- Experience with HVAC systems, plumbing and fire protection
- Required knowledge of AutoCAD and preferably REVIT software
- LEED Certification or Certified Energy Auditor/Manager a plus
- Must be willing to travel from time-to-time (no longer than one week)
Responsible for managing the financial aspects of individual projects, including tracking project costs, budgeting, forecasting, and generating financial reports to ensure projects stay within budget and meet profitability goals, often collaborating closely with project managers to monitor financial performance and identify potential issues; key duties include setting up project accounts, recording transactions related to the project, analyzing financial data, and providing regular updates on project finances to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project budgeting: Develop and maintain project budgets, tracking expenses against allocated funds
- Cost tracking: Monitor project costs, identifying variances between estimated and actual expenses
- Financial reporting: Prepare detailed project financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis
- Contract management: Understand project contracts and ensure compliance with billing terms and revenue recognition guidelines
- Variance analysis: Analyze budget deviations, identifying areas of concern and proposing corrective actions
- Project forecasting: Estimate future project costs and profitability based on current performance
- Stakeholder communication: Regularly communicate project financial status to project managers, senior management, and clients
- Account reconciliation: Ensure accuracy of project accounts by reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
- Project closure: Close out completed projects, including final financial reporting and account reconciliation
