Miller-Remick, a full-service MEP engineering firm, is looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and innovative individual for a Senior Electrical Engineer position. In addition to the basic qualifications listed, the successful candidate shall possess the skills required to successfully develop and execute project tasks and deliverables, be a collaborative team player, handle multiple complex tasks, establish and manage priorities, and have a strong drive to deliver a quality project for customers.
Our clients include federal agencies (Dept. of Veteran Affairs, Dept. of Defense, GSA, Federal Bureau of Prisons, state, and local governments). Responsibilities: We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for the planning and coordination of multi-discipline project teams. Candidate must be a quality-oriented individual to perform electrical engineering investigations/assessments of facilities, design building electrical systems, specification preparation, project and construction cost estimates, project scheduling for engineering projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor (BS) or Master (MS) in Engineering
- P.E. license with 8 years’ experience in electrical engineering
- Knowledge of all applicable Codes
- Experience with power, lighting, security, telecom systems, emergency generator design
- Building Information Modeling using REVIT
- Medium voltage experience is a plus
- Leadership qualities are a must
- Traveling as required to client sites

We are looking for a talented engineer with the ability to develop mechanical drawings and specifications. The successful candidate must have design knowledge of engineering and construction of HVAC, boilers, chillers, plumbing, fire protection, electrical systems, BIM, renewable energy and energy conservation. Must have previous experience with engineering investigations/assessments of facilities, designing of building mechanical systems, economic analysis of alternate HVAC systems, specifications, codes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering
- PE License preferred.
- Minimum of 5 – 10 years’ experience
- Experience with HVAC systems, plumbing and fire protection
- Required knowledge of AutoCAD and preferably REVIT software
- LEED Certification or Certified Energy Auditor/Manager a plus

- Lead and manage projects from planning through design and construction.

- Complete internal peer reviews and provide input in multi-discipline page turns, across all offices, to assist in the development of a comprehensive design.
- Perform page turns prior to all major project deliverables.
- Work closely with subconsultants and department design managers.
- Assist in developing client capture plans and pursuit win plans, proposals, and other business development and client engagement activities.
- Develop and enhance client relationships, serve as the primary company contact, and deliver quality projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client.
- Administer relevant aspects of a formal quality program.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Engineering is required.
- A PE license is preferred but not a requirement.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing design projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform project management responsibilities, working independently and in coordination with other team members and Project Managers.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple clients at varying stages of design/construction completion.
- Traveling as required to client sites.
