Miller-Remick provided engineering design and construction phase services to retrofit and modify the main 34.5 KV electrical substation serving USACE Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, NJ. Design included revision of the existing single line drawings, designs to install and integrate a new emergency generation system into the substation architecture, site plans, a new UPS system, and new control transformers with wiring revisions to the Powercon 34.5 KV switchgear. This included facilitating the start-up, commissioning and operational testing of the newly installed Caterpillar/Kato generator system, protective relays, PTs and CTs. Our electrical engineering services included concept and final designs, contract drawings, technical specifications, shop drawing review, construction phase services, cost analysis, start-up assistance, and close-out.
